Meet Amber — and the Dog Who Inspired Mojo's Bath House

Mojo's Bath House was created by Amber-Louise Brandom: a qualified dog groomer, lifelong dog lover and proud Rottweiler owner who believes every dog deserves to feel safe, comfortable and understood.

A Lifelong Love of Dogs

I grew up with family dogs and have loved animals for as long as I can remember. But when Mojo, my Rottweiler, came into my life, that love grew into a deeper understanding of the challenges larger breeds can face — and the misconceptions that can surround them.

Mojo showed me how much trust matters. He inspired me to build a grooming business founded on patience, positive experiences and treating every dog as an individual, whatever their breed, size, age or story.

My Approach to Grooming

For me, grooming is not simply about appearance. It is part of a dog's wider care: helping them stay clean, comfortable and free from painful matting, while supporting healthy skin, coats, paws, ears and nails.

I take time to understand each dog and never want them to feel rushed. I use calm handling, reassurance and positive interactions, pausing when a dog needs a moment. By making each visit as positive as possible, I hope to build confidence and a trusting, long-term relationship with both dogs and their owners. Qualified, Prepared and Honest

I hold the iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management and a Level 2 Canine First Aid qualification. Before opening Mojo's Bath House, I also gained 18 months of hands-on experience as a kennel hand in dog boarding and daycare kennels.

You can expect clear communication and honest advice at every stage. If a particular style is not right for your dog's coat or lifestyle, if matting makes brushing uncomfortable, or if I notice something that may need veterinary attention, I will explain it openly and recommend the kindest next step.

A Soft Spot for Big Personalities

I am especially comfortable around larger and powerful breeds, and I have a genuine soft spot for dogs who are sometimes misunderstood. No dog is reduced to a label. I look at the individual in front of me, adapt my approach, and give them the chance to feel secure.

One of the most rewarding parts of grooming is seeing a nervous dog grow in confidence over time — and seeing their owner feel reassured that they have found someone they can trust.
