Appointments are never treated like a race. Amber watches your dog's body language, works at a manageable pace and pauses when they need reassurance or a break. Praise, gentle handling and treats — with your permission — can be used to build positive associations.
No groomer can promise that every dog will feel completely relaxed from the first visit. Progress may be gradual, and sometimes a groom may need to be adapted or stopped for welfare or safety. As a Rottweiler owner, Amber understands the strength, sensitivity and big personalities that often come with larger breeds. Professional hydraulic tables and bathing equipment help dogs step on and off safely, while non-slip surfaces support stability and confidence.
Large and powerful breeds are welcomed as individuals, not judged by stereotypes. Please be open about your dog's handling needs and previous behaviour so the safest, most appropriate plan can be made.
Support for Senior and Vulnerable Dogs
Older, arthritic or medically vulnerable dogs may need extra support, shorter periods of standing and regular rest. Where practical and safe, grooming can be adapted around mobility and comfort. Please share relevant health information when booking and seek veterinary guidance if you are unsure whether grooming is appropriate.
Safety Without Compromising Kindness
Dogs are gently secured on the grooming table to help prevent falls. Drying temperature and airflow are controlled by hand, and enclosed cage dryers are not used. Tools and work areas are cleaned between clients, and every groom includes an external visual and hands-on check of the coat, skin, ears and paws. Anything unusual will be reported to you, but only a vet can diagnose a health condition.
